Party Planning 101

From birthdays and baby showers to holidays and weddings, if I’m throwing a party, I’m going to do it big!

So many different factors come in to play when planning a party. I usually start my planning months prior and give myself deadlines and a checklist of things that need to get done. Here are some of the main things that I consider while planning.

THEME

Choose a theme that makes sense with your event. For example, if you’re planning a kids birthday party, I would make sure that the theme is fun and colorful rather than elegant with gold and silvers. Make sure the theme stays consistent, from the cake and decor to the food and table settings.

LOCATION

Most of my events are at my house, except for my wedding of course. Since their most always at the same place, I like to always switch it up so each event won’t be so repetitive. When choosing a location make sure you take your theme into consideration as well as your guest list. For example, if you have a large guest list make sure your location has more than one bathroom. Make sure your location is also spacious! The last thing you want is for things to look cluttered and your guests being crammed in a small area.

DECOR

This is obviously my favorite part of planning a party. I live for decor! Sometimes I get a little out of control and end up buying too much decor, but then again can there ever really be too much decor? I think not! I just love that wow effect. Months prior I start buying my decor from online stores, Homegoods and reuse a lot of decor that I already have. You can also rent decor which sometimes saves money and time. I always incorporate a lot of flowers at my parties, usually roses. Cute little-personalized items like place cards, gift bags, and pictures go along way. for events other than the holidays, I have to have balloons and most recently I’ve been ding balloon arches which so beautiful especially when you place it so it’s the first thing people see when they walk in your party.

Happy Holidays from The Alberinos. Thank god 2020 Happy Holidays from The Alberinos. Thank god 2020 is coming to an end, but I still can’t believe we are 14 days away from #Christmas and I kinda want it to slow down 😩
This is Nicky’s first year of really understanding Christmas and Santa & we can’t wait to see him wake up, and open his gifts. Sofia on the other hand will have no clue lol

Now the struggle was real in getting them both in a photo together. Sofia was great but Nicky refused to smile lol

#AD Happy Friday!!!! As you may know, I'm obsessed #AD Happy Friday!!!!
As you may know, I'm obsessed with skincare and maintaining a youthful look! I've always had my daily and nightly skincare routine since I was 15, and I always love to try new products. Now at the age of 32, my main concern is making sure my skin is always on point!

I am terrified of aging! Like seriously TERRIFIED! As you may know one skincare product that helps with anti-aging is a retinol. Some people think that retinol is used once you get older. Nope! You're really supposed to start using retinol in your early 20's to keep your skin at it's best performance. In your 30’s your skin will continue to behave as it was in your 20’s because you had started using retinol young. By 40+ retinol will continue to work on cell turnover and tackle wrinkles, even deep ones.

I started using @lorealparis New PURE Retinol night serum and I'm in love! #LorealParis NEW Pure Retinol Night Serum refines and smooths complexion and visibly reduces wrinkles, even deep ones.

I definitely recommend this retinol for not only women, but men too! You could purchase this directly on @amazon
P.S This would make an awesome stocking stuffer. Thank me later :)
